Indications/Uses

Mild to moderate HTN. HTN not responding to monotherapy w/ Ca antagonist or ARBs.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Initially 1 tab daily. If BP control is inadequate after 1-2 wk, the dose may be increased to 2 tab daily.

May be taken with or without food.

Hypersensitivity.

Special Precautions

Hypotension. Aggravation of angina particularly w/ severe obstructive CAD. Patients w/ heart failure; severe renal disease. Electrolyte imbalance. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.

Drug Interactions

Rifampin. Fluconazole. Increased serum K w/ ARBs or K-sparing diuretics, K supplements or Na substitutes. Reduce lithium excretion. May diminish anti-hypertensive effect w/ COX-2 inhibitors.
